On Brian's days off he likes to take the kids hiking, often to Three Bridges, the trail Phil helped build.
Grandma Kathie's home from the hospital now!! She has a diagnosis and is on the road to recovery! We're so happy!! But when this photo was taken, she was still staying at Transitions in SLO. I'd taken Lydia and Roz to visit, and it was kind of perfect that Roz slept the entire time. Grandma got to cuddle the baby, and she wasn't climbing and running all over the place.
The kids were looking forward to playing in the leaves. The light wasn't right for nice photos, but they had a blast!

We go to library story time occasionally. It's fun. I had the opportunity to see Lydia treated like an older child (ignored in favor of the smaller kids and expected to be more polite to set an example--she's only FOUR!! Like the rest of the kids at PRESCHOOL--not toddler--story time). The life of a tall kid. I know what it's like.

We finished our first soccer season!! What a great experience! I don't miss three practices a week, but I do miss the games. Everett's soccer picture above is decidedly better than his school picture. Handsome guy.
Lydia rocking her last game! They had a pizza party at Round Table to celebrate. Everett and I had to leave early to get to his game, so I didn't get a picture of her ceremony, but here she is with her trophy!

Roz was looking so cute in her Santa hat squeezing her owl that I had to take a picture. Of course Lydia had to get in on it. She has her new favorite pink puppy Princess with her.

Cousin Bob came to visit!! He came to town to help my parents (and we're so, SO grateful, Bob! Thank you!), but he made time for some horsin' around!!
We attended the birthday party of a couple of our little friends. Lydia with some nice blue lips! And we decided what Roz would get for Christmas! (Magnatiles)
More hiking and a frozen yogurt stop! It's so much fun when Dad's home!!
Haircut time!! Lydia got a TON cut off. She has that thick Asdel/Cisneros hair. And we said goodbye to Roz's baby curls. Don't worry! I saved a lock for the baby book.
I popped Everett and his Lego "E" necklace in at the top.
Thanksgiving!! We hosted this year! Phil and Gion are renovating, and Gion just got a new knee! Brian was in charge. He did all the cooking with contributions from P&G. I helped clean the house a little.
Unfortunately my mom was back in the hospital, and we really missed her! But we had just gotten news that she was FINALLY on the way to getting a diagnosis, so that was some good news to be excited about.
We were happy that Bob stayed in town and was able to celebrate with us.
And I didn't mention my dad! We were very happy Grandpa George was there too!
Lydia was wearing a dress Phil and Gion had gotten for the kids' Auntie Katie in Austria when she was around 5. I'm glad I didn't wait an extra minute to try it on Lydia! She was squeeeeeezed into that thing!
The day after Thanksgiving. We went to the beach! It was lovely. Unseasonably warm, so we couldn't help thinking about climate change, but we had fun anyway.

And we went to the drive-in to see Coco!! We'd planned to go during Brian's break, but we didn't make that happen, so we went on the Tuesday after Brian and Everett went back! We got home from E's basketball practice, scarfed down some pasta, and got in the car! We're so spontaneous!
Coco is an awesome movie, by the way!
